Ever since I got back into watching wrestling, Chris Benoit has always been one of my favorite wrestlers. When I started tuning into WCW each week he was the one wrestler that I would hope to see and I looked up to the guy. In school you could open my locker and there you would find a few Chris Benoit things hanging on the side. He was a true hero to me.
One of my favorite memories of him was actually him fighting The Rock. He won but then the ref restarted the match and Rock ended up winning. The reason I remember this match is because due to the loss I had to cut my hair. My choice for the hair cut....I wanted it like Benoits. I cut my hair which was down to my shoulders down to his short style.
Chris was a true athlete in the ring and could put on a five star match with anyone. He will always be remembered as one of the greatest superstars to ever step in that ring and the sight that was left at Mania 20 with him and Eddie Guerrero will always put a smile on all of our faces.
