They should switch the World Heavyweight Title onto Kane (who deserves it after all his hard years of solid main event and upper mid-card work, surviving all those awful angles), and have Edge blame his loss on his injury. Have Edge send in Mark Henry to win the belt from Kane one edition of SmackDown!, and have Kane just tear through Henry (yeah, the match would suck, but from a storyline perspective, it seems the way to go). Henry's not that important that he can't lose in a fairly one-sided match to Kane. Then maybe have Khali take a shot at Kane, only for the same thing to happen.
At Summerslam, they may as well just run Kane vs. Batista. Yeah, the match sounds icky, but the two actually worked pretty damn good together on SmackDown! prior to WrestleMania, and the fans would be pretty into it. Just please, keep the belt on Kane. Or, they can do an even better thing and have Kane vs. Finlay, with Edge backing up Finlay.
