and how does this differ from movie/tv stars? or music stars? or poloticians? the list goes on... It's not just athletes it's people with money or fame in general and the reason they get away with it is people let them.

Well, if convicted he'll probably be going to jail for awhile... unless of course he works a plea and gives up info on bigger people to get himself out of jail, either way if convicted I don't think Goodell will need to do much, I think it will take care of itself.

Ok, wait, stop, stop, stop... you understand these are two different sports right? Baseball and Football have no connection except both being a sport. Football suspended and basiclly ended the career of a guy with potential to be a top 10 all-time running back for smoking weed, baseball celebrated guys who used steroids. Rose was banned for betting on his own games as a manager, trust me... if an NFL coach was caught betting on his own team they'd be gone. Actually, if I recall the NFL has some very strict gambling laws, that actually prevents NFL players from gambling on other sports (I don't recall it ever actually being enforced)
