It was around the second half of 2002. There were three teams feuding with each other.

Edge & Rey Mysterio (Face), Los Guerreros (Heel), and Kurt Angle & Chris Benoit (Tweeners).

Angle and Benoit were fueding themselves at the time, but Stephanie McMahon said they'd be suspended if they didn't work as a team.

This was when Benoit and Angle became the first WWE Tag team champions on Smackdown.

The result was a lot of great matches using any combination of the sixs superstars, and two of the more remembered matches were Benoit & Angle VS Edge & Rey Mysterio at No Mercy 2002, and the three-team tag match at Survivor Series 2002. Overall it was very good booking. And with Lesnar and Big Show in the main event scene, it was generally I very good time for Smackdown.

Also I believe Paul Heyman was booking.
