Fight Club ruled.
It had alot of themes, which is way it ruled. One I liked is the Marla/Jack/Tyler relationship. It pretty resembles any normal relationship. We all alittle Jack and Tyler in us; like times when we really want to bang our chick, but when it's all over we barely know her.
The fact that Jack and Tyler were basically best friends made the fact that they kicked each others asses on a regular funny. But you hurt the ones you love.
"You can swallow a pint of blood before you get sick"
Since Jack was Tyler, it's sensible to say that Jack quit his job to make soap. All the while making a seperalist group doing anything but 'cleaning' society.
"First rule of Fight Club, you don't talk about Fight Club. Second rule of Fight Club, you Don't talk about Fight Club." Tyler definately protecting the fact that Fight Club was founded by a guy who beat himself up every week.
Jack went to therapy seesions and Jack started sleeping for a year. Listen closely to Tyler's words, and you'll hear him mention that's he's been around for a year.
Jack shooting himself didn't kill him, but would it kill Tyler, then? Jack took a bold step that he otherwise would never have taken. Infact, you can say it was something Tyler would've done. The relation between Jack and Tyler bassically is Tyler being the 'release' of Jack. If Jack was as bold as Tyler in the first place, Tyler wouldn't exist. So taking the step in shooting himself, eliminated Tyler for good.
