That's just ignorant. Nick Dinsmore is one of the finest wrestlers in the WWE in terms of ability. That might or may not have something to do with his OVW training with Jim Cornette and Danny Davis. Either way it is completely pointless. The guy could come from CZW and be just as good.
It's a shame that they released him without giving him too much of a shot without the retard gimmick. TNA will probably call him, and offer him more money, but I'm really hoping he gets on the phone to Gabe and Cary first. The guy is fucking brilliant in the ring, and his time as Eugene, while pointless it may seem, has taught him how to play a character, and how to interact with crowds. He'd be all the better for it.
The WWE are retards for wasting his potential (pun intended), and I really hope he ends up in ROH. TNA is just too cluttered, and you'd know he'd end up with an even more retarded gimmick. Rob Conway is also free of his WWE contract, as is Doug Basham (who is now away from TNA, and who ROH have expressed interest in). I would not be opposed to seeing Gabe bring in both Basham and Dinsmore (and maybe Conway) for some tryout matches before ROH shows, and see how the fans react to them. Dinsmore and Conway made a fantastic team when they were The Lords of the Ring. The Briscoes need some competition.
If Dinsmore goes to ROH first, and earns some fanfare, I could see him jump to TNA when they get their shit together, as kind of a "Stone Cold" like babyface. No, not nearly as huge, and you're a fucktard if you interpret it like that. I don't even mean in character. I mean in terms of a talented worker that never got a chance to shine in one promotion, jumping ship to another, proving he's more than capable, and then entering yet another promotion and becoming one of their bigger stars.
I don't care what anyone says, Kurt Angle vs. Nick Dinsmore is one of those matches I would actually pay to see.
