Wrestling promotions have brought in sports and TV celebrities many times over the years. What's so different this time? Nothing that's what.
When they worked successfully in the past, the celebrities were brought in to highlight what was already a very strong show. And that's it; to highlight. Mike Tyson, Dennis Rodman (the first time), Karl Malone, and Jay Leno; they were brought in to make current existing feuds stronger and more mainstream. They were there to back guys like Stone Cold, Shawn Michaels, Hollywood Hogan, and DDP.

But TNA doesn't even have the solidified names yet, and they're bringing in Pacman Jones. Now he's one half of the god damn TNA Tag Champions with Ron Killings; a guy who hasn't done ANYTHING worthy of note in the past 2 years. Pacman has no direction in TNA; just like the rest of the roster; and so he won't do any good in elevating or highlighting anyone.

They need to concentrate on their stars and their storylines; not in bringing in more wasteful talent like Pacman Jones and Rikishi.
