This shouldn't really be considered a spoiler for Zombie's Halloween, but in this version all he wants to do is find Laurie since he hasn't seen her since he was a child. Also, he just pretty much dismantles anyone that is associated with her in anyway, shape, or form, and wants her all to himself (I guess). I understand what you are saying though, about how it was never explained in the originals.
