Scrubs is the smartest comedy on TV these days (which is not saying much), but I can't think of many past sitcoms that were smarter. The Simpsons in its prime, maybe. Arrested Development was a clever show. That's about it. In fact, Scrubs is one of the few shows in the history of television to actually have a brain in its head. It's also got better drama in it than most drama shows do.
