You're right. You didn't read the whole thing. One of my main arguments was that perhaps the acquistions of Rucinsky, Sanderson, and Bergevin could make up for the loss of Bertuzzi. I also argued that perhaps the rest of the team would 'step up' in the absence of Bertuzzi (realizing that they no longer have any right to feel complacent).
