Read something on ESPN saying the Twins aren't exactly thrilled with Melky Cabrera and that they would prefer Carlos Gomez out in center field (they feel they are relatively safe with pitching but need a good CF). That combined with the Mets' willingness to trade more top prospects might make the Mets the frontrunners to this point.

Holy shit. If the Mets could grab Santana and still keep Milledge it would be fucking amazing. I'd gladly part ways with Gomez and two of Pelfrey/Humber/Mulvey tbh
