I honestly think they should just be clear-cut about the thing. Have Kurt Angle talking to Robert Roode backstage, and tell Roode that he doesn't want his help for this one. He can beat Christian, and he wants to do it without assistance, so Cage feels stupider for considering himself in Angle's league. The two have a good match, and Christian gets the clean pin with The Unprettier.

You can then have the feud build, as Roode gets involved, and the question becomes: Cage can beat Angle cleanly, but can he beat him with an unfair advantage in Angle's favour?
