The guy was in the military. Not sure what they teach you, exactly, but I'm sure there are some practical forms of self-defense they hammer into you. Kennedy's also a fairly decent wrestler, which he could apply.

Not saying he would do well, just saying that he wouldn't exactly be a deer caught in the headlights.
