Hmmmmm. Hey Matt, what's your take on this?

Once Trent Edwards was drafted, JP's time was ticking. 4 years in the league and he has yet to really show that he can be a starter. Edwards showed more poise, leadership and ability to read defense as a rookie.
JP is a great guy, who really liked Buffalo. He is VERY active in the community, and I think everyone in Buffalo feels bad for him. I really wanted him to make it. But I just don't see him ever as a starter. He is basically the Patrick Ramsey of his draft. Late 1st round qb from Tulane that never made it.
I really think he will get cut or traded. Someone will give him a chance, and Buffalo wont want him dividing the locker room like happened when he lost the job. Its Edwards team now, and everyone knows it, so JP has to go. I think he will be a solid backup somewhere, but he is going to go to a team that will give him a chance to start or at least compete. Maybe Carolina will take a chance on him since Carr didn't work out.
All in all, its a sucky situation, as no wants him to go, but he kind of has too. Shouldnt be any bad blood. He thinks he an get a job as a starter, and would like to leave and try. But he is willing to finish his contract as a back up if they dont find anything that works.
