I would mark out like a little bitch if that happened, Heyman, and the thought has passed my mind, but I decided against it being a really likely scenario. The WWE loves their money, and I bet they keep The Hardys together long enough for Matt & Jeff to get another Tag Team Title run to promote their DVD later this year. I believe the Matt Hardy heel turn is coming, but I also feel that it will happen later this year. Not that it should, mind you, I love your idea.

As for motivation, the clear reason would be jealousy. Matt Hardy was always the "lead" brother, who planned their strategy, kept Jeff focused, worked to better himself in the ring, etc. Jeff got more fame, however, by jumping off ladders. Matt had to hook up with a slut just to get the spotlight on him. He won the Hardcore Championship, Jeff won three; he won the European Championship from Eddie Guerrero, Jeff won the IC Championship from Triple H, and the Light Heavyweight Championship; Matt has an amazing rivalry with MVP over the US Championship, Jeff wins his fourth IC Championship and wins matches against Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Umaga and Randy Orton. All the reasons are there, Matt just has to string together a brooding history of being in his brother's shadow underservingly.

And honestly, Jeff Hardy vs. Matt Hardy for the IC and US Championships in the same match would make me fork down money for WrestleMania. The same goes for MVP winning the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. I would definitely put over Matt Hardy in their WrestleMania match, just because he's my favourite. Matt walking around on both shows with the US and IC Titles, even with a bit of a posse going like in the Mattitude days, would be great.
