This Johan shit is still driving me insane and probably will until the day he gets dealt. A few exec's have said that the Twins are thinking about just keeping him for '08 and making a run for it...which kinda baffles me since Santana has said he won't waive his no trade clause during the season and the Indians and Tigers are both miles ahead of the Twins.

A few other execs have said that any offer that involves Hughes (even a straight-up swap) is better than anything the Mets can offer, which is pretty asinine IMO.

Its been dragged out so long that I'm trying to get myself into the mindset that the Mets are gonna have to rely on Pedro being healthy to anchor the rotation in '08 and I hope I'll be surprised.

My hope is that once we get to be about a week or so away from pitchers and catchers reporting...Johan's gonna give the Twins a deadline and reinforce that he won't allow himself to be traded once the year starts, and the Twins will then realize they have no shot in '08 and send him to the Mets for Gomez, Guerra, Humber, and Mulvey (MORE than fair IMO)
