I understand that it is difficult to have a plot and explanation when no one knows what the fuck is going on, and running like crazy, as its seen from a handheld camera, I just wish the ending was Was not the way it was, Ideally for me it could have been them saying they love each other, running towards a chopper that is about to take off, the monster is after them and the last thing before the end credits you see the monster being bombed by a F-16 Fighter Jet, and the camera falls to the ground and goes off, that leaves the question did they survive, did the monster survive, did they even hit the monster, did they make it to the chopper, but be taken down again by the monster, it also leaves the sequel door wide open
Highlight above.

The only problem with the ending is...
that would make me think the monster lived and that the characters got away. The fact that the monster was bombed and the last shot you see is of the characters flying off before the camera is dropped to the ground would leave the crowd thinking that way. Ending the movie the way they did showed that the characters were killed off except for the monster. I didnt even know of the thing after the credits and I just assumed from the ending he was still alive anways.
Im not saying that your ending is a bad ending...its a great ending if you want to end the movie on a nice high note. But I think the directer was trying to get the people wanting more.
