I actually don't mind them changing their announced location. Saying it for real doesn't really add anything unless they are in the hometown, but saying something else, even if it is stupid, puts over the gimmick.

Like the fans hear Robert Roode announced from being from Wall Street and go "WALL STREET?! I hate that place! Therefore, I hate him!", you hear him announced from "Petersborough, Ontario" and it would just be "... yeah, ok."
