One game for me before seeing THAT video comes to mind: Backyard Wrestling:
- The game's point was one thing: Throw various shit at your opponent that will never fucking hit because the controls are so whacked-out that you can't aim for shit, all the while getting shit tossed at you that somehow hits you. No actual wrestling necessary, or even the stuff that got BYW such the rep it got (even remotely). I think there was a mattress that resembled the ring in the backyard (I THINK), but that was all that resembled a wrestling game...well, that and the "moves" that you would NEVER NEED because you're too busy chucking shit at your opponent (the opponent never bothers to use them, either, going RIGHT FOR THE WEAPONS TO THROW LIKE A GODDAMN PITCHER). Not to mention that I don't CARE about any of the "wrestlers" in the game.
- Can anyone explain to me the POINT of the story in that mode. There was a cutscene of a talk show, and that was it...and nothing else was made of that. All I care to remember, since it was so random.
- I think ICP made some sort of appearance. Nuff said.
- The graphics sucked ass, and I can't remember the sound or music to save my life. Should tell you something.
So yeah, BYW definitely ranks up there. How it was able to get a sequel I'll never know
