Agreed to a very large extent:
What most CENA-bashers on here aren't accepting, is that Cena isn't the ROOT of the problem. Case in point:
A) Before Cena came back, RAW was still fairly "bland" with Orton as the champ. Ratings weren't much different without Cena.
B) A few years ago, Triple H was getting similar criticism to what Cena is getting now (i.e. being a boring, "superhuman" champ).
In my opinion - the best way to remedy the "Cena" situation, is to give him high profile matches ON A CONSISTENT BASIS.
A) No more 'jobber' feuds with the likes of Umaga, Khali, etc.
B) No more feuds that have been done on numerous occassions (i.e. Edge, HBK, Orton....after this, etc., etc.).
EVERY time Cena has had FRESH and QUALITY opponents, the fans have ALWAYS delivered and shown excitement.
Case in Point:
-Cena vs. RVD @ ECW One Night Stand 2006
-Cena vs. Triple H @ Wrestlemania 22
-Cena vs. Shawn Michaels @ Wrestlemania 23
-Cena vs. Orton @ Summerslam 2007
If Cena feuds with the FOLLOWING people (in succession) in the next year or so, I guarantee the fans will go NUTS with excitement:
-Jeff Hardy
-Undertaker
-Dave Batista
-Hulk Hogan
-The Rock
As it relates to the latter two, hopefully it can be done. (I would've mentioned Austin's name, but he's gone on record saying that he doesn't want any more matches).
