I think your argument shows more what it was, than what it could have been. An easy RPG-lite for emotionally stunted retards and graphics whores. The main reason people want a graphical update is because it was primarily a shiny object with little function or substance. At the time, it was heralded is graphically stunning (Though the game itself was massively shitty compared to the cut scenes the little tardboys fapped to), and people want a sleeker version of the bishy emo bitches to fawn over.
