Of course it wasn't the WWE's plan. They obviously didn't go through with it. Whether it was Triple H, Stephanie McMahon or Vince McMahon, Triple H was awarded the World Heavyweight Championship, which seemed to justify victories over Kane and RVD to "establish" the belt. There are not real arguments there.
This writer has come out and stated that the writers (or whoever "we" represents -- I'm assuming the writers) wanted to put the World Heavyweight Championship on Rob Van Dam. He is a legitimate source, I believe.
You do have a very good track record, but that doesn't mean your word should be taken as lore automatically. I'm not arguing with you here, or implying that you don't have a clue what you're talking about, but following even an enlightened person blind is often a bad choice. You have been right most of the time, though, I'll give you that.
I'm sure you are right when you talk about it not being Vince's plan. If it was, then it probably would have happened. I think it is a bit ignorant to dismiss this writer's claims as completely false, though.
