Wow, after last night's rainout it looks like today's game might be washed away as well. If it is that would put the Mets in an interesting situation. They have two choices:

A - Push everybody back, meaning Maine starts on Sunday with Santana pitching the Home Opener on Tuesday on 7 day's rest.
B - Start Santana on Sunday as scheduled, thus pushing Maine back to the Home Opener on Tuesday, by which point he would have had 9 day's rest from his last spring start.

I certainly hope its the former, and not just because I'm going to the Opener. Everybody seems to be all "you have to start Santana on Sunday, you can't mess with your ace's schedule!" but if you ask me I think he's way too good a pitcher to be affected by 7 day's rest. Maine on the other hand is our #2 guy since Pedro is down and 9 days rest is just plain ludicrous.
