Laziness is probably a key factor or just games being rushed to the market by greedy publishers who think they can release a game built on promises and no substance.
I didn't really have too much of a problem with Army Of Two although I found it a little bit too short, whenever I've played Online with a friend it's been a good solid experience and I've not had many problems. I haven't tried it's competitive Online yet but again I've heard it's pretty solid.
The one complaint I have heard a lot regarding it has been that it's region locked in terms of Multiplayer. Whilst I don't really care too much because none of my American friends have the game I can understand why people would be a bit pissed off and baffled at that decision especially considering other games offer fuller Co Op Experiences.
The second question, why are consumers so dumb? It's because consumers believe in hype and what the PR Departments tell them. Either that or we hold out some hope that it will get better.
3D Sonic Games are a perfect example, people know they're going to be complete shit, they bitch about them leading up to the release date and then buy the fucking game anyway and moan because it's shit. It's an endless cycle.
The Smackdown Vs Raw Games have the same story, and I'm guilty of being an idiot with it myself. Getting them and then moaning because they're crap or the same as the last one when I have no one to blame but myself for buying the game.
