Strange to see JR without the cowboy hat and good old southern boy gimmick.
Ironically, Ross absolutely detested the "JR" character which he now uses to endorse his BBQ products and business and retain popularity with the WWE audience. In fact, one of the reasons he was fired in 1994 was for flat out refusing to wear a cowboy hat on TV and call himself "J.R.". He also point blank refused to turn heel.
Funny how people change their perspective when they find themselves out of a job, huh?
