also with green lantern's powers and his apparent conservative leanings (as seen in green arrow and green lantern) why doesn't he just go back to 9/11 and stop the terrorist attacks and anytime a crime is commited just go back in time and stop it ala minority report. I think it'd make for a great retelling at least.
Green Lantern can't go back in time... and I don't think 9/11 ever happened in the DC Universe. Although obviously they are going to draw the WTC as not there now.

In Ex Machina, which is also a brilliant series, one of the planes was stopped and thus one of the towers still stands.

Plus going back in time opens up a whole can of worms of time paradoxes and stuff. Actually, for time travel heroes stuff, see the current Booster Gold, which is excellent.
