Kind of on the fence about the deal. It will obviously help this year but I don't really think a lefty reliever was vital for the Yankees. Giving up Tabata was really the only one that hurts. It just seems like a case of selling Tabata at his lowest value and buying Nady at his highest value during a career year.
The only top guy they really gave up was Tabata but he was probably top 5 prospect wise for their system. His stock really fell this year with injuries and other discipline problems though. I think the emergence of Jackson this year made this a lot easier for the Yankees.
