He does this almost every season around this time. I'm not sure if the media provokes Manny into making these statements or if he just acts like this before the trade deadline, either way, I have trouble taking it seriously. I respect Manny enough to turn a blind eye to his bold statements. It does get old, but Manny has done too much for the team for me to want to see him traded.

From what I heard, in 2006 Manny was asking to be traded because he was caught sleeping with Edgar Renteria's wife. Maybe this time he's banging Pedroia's wife.
