Whilst this has been brought up (again)...I was watching Survivor Series 07 the other night so this is fresh in my mind...

I understand this "Punk outpopped DX" thing has been running for a while, I also understand that KK has been leading the argument against the above statement. I remember reading that KK (amongst other reasons) said that Punk's pop was a direct result of being put over by DX.

HOWEVER, the crowd started chanting Punk's name of it's own accord. Not whilst they were all doing the "Let's see which side of the crowd is the loudest" stuff. Not during any point where DX were 'controlling the crowd'. In fact the crowd started to chant Punk's name just as HHH was about to start his "Are you ready?".

At that point - seeing the reaction to Punk - HHH then brought Punk into the mic work (admittedly helping to put Punk over). Whether Punk outpopped DX is a matter for debate. The fact that the crowd chose to cheer Punk over DX is hard to deny.
