His character is the only thing that stands him apart. You could still keep it, but have him start actually winning, and it would be gold.

Character is everything.

And Santino's character isn't as limiting as "retard" or "porn star". Those don't leave much room for growth or evolution. Santino is just an egomaniacal Italian with delusions of grandeur. He can do anything or go anywhere.
