That coulda been sweet. Have a match with him as regular Scotty face vs a heel, say, if we do it now...Kozlov. And they have an epic battle, as it may be, and Kozlov is down. Scotty does the "Oh, no!" shimmy, and hops around, the crowd calling out "W! O! R! M!" and Scotty stops, waves at the crowd like "Fuck this," and walks to the back, losing via count out.
The next week, he makes the heel turn simply by stating "Guess what, kids? No more dancing, no more laughing at Scotty 2 Hotty -- no more freakin' Worm." Instand crowd reaction. But alas, we may never know.
