Now is NOT the time to end the brand split. You do that, you:

*Kill Chris Benoit or Eddie Guerrero's "Top Guy" position, as one will have to lose their "Champion" title.

*Kill John Cena or Randy Orton. One will get to keep a secondary belt and the title of "Next Big Thing," the other slips back into early-'03 territory.

*Bury the cruiserweights further. Double the heavyweights = Half-time for cruisers.

*Eliminate half the contenders for the titles, because no one is going to believe (with the way things have been written for the last four years) that there can be more than two or three viable contenders for each title. So, gone is Booker T's title push, only to be replaced by more HHH/HBK/insert-other-wrestler-here PPV main events.

The brand extension has gone on so long that dropping it now would be catastrophic to any semblance of momentum they've built up. It would be like when WCW "started over" when Bischoff and Russo took joint control of the booking. Exciting shows for a couple of weeks, then chaos ensues and no one knows who anyone is anymore, ratings bottom out, and we're back in the wrestling dark ages.

Let's face it folks, the brand extension hasn't always been a good thing, but it's better than any alternative that's out there now.

So stop saying "End it now."
