Gimmicks change, new match types, new tweaks on gameplay, etc. People will still buy next year's game.

Plus all of the main wrestlers will always be there assuming they don't get fired tomorrow. I hardly doubt that the majority of people who buy the games won't buy it next year because London and Kendrick are finally in this year's game.

And they won't abandon the series for a year, that would be fucking stupid on their part considering how much money this series makes THQ.
