Partially, it is the point. WWE doesn't mention TNA because it's detrimental to promote the competition. But TNA is the competition, they're not really promoting WWE in any meaningful sense.

On the other hand, it's probably bad to actually admit it. If they learned that they're #2, they might work to get better. If they are essentially admitting it to the world...Not so much. Though as I already said, I'm not sure how much damage can be done at this point.
