Kerr basically forced him out. I don't even think they were really on speaking terms. Kerr clearly and obviously tried to sabotage the freaking team last year (I love Shaq, but Jesus.) I dont see how essentially trading away the system in the middle of the year was a great idea. I highly doubt D'Antoni said "Hell yes, Steve, trade Matrix for Shaq." None of it makes any sense to me still. I'm just really really bitter in the end. Those Suns teams meant so much to me. They made me start watching basketball again (I quit after they traded Kidd for Marbury). It pisses me off to watch it all end because Kerr was a fucking moron.
