I can sort of understand why Tomko wouldn't tell the WWE about his injury. If he thought he could work through it, then why wait until he is healthy to sign with the WWE? I mean, if he's going to heal up, get into shape, etc. before he signs, while he will look better when he turns up for work, it will take time that signing with the WWE now could have avoided.

Another thing is that guys get praised endlessly when they work through injuries. They look tougher, and more dedicated to putting on a show. Tomko might have felt that if he worked through it, the WWE would be proud of him.

I'm hoping that this release talk is just so they can have Tomko turn up with Christian on WWE TV, and people will be surprised. Why put him in a dark match, anyway? To see how he tested with crowds, and whether or not a face Tyson Tomko would work in the WWE. Evidently, it seems to have potential.
