Douglas was one of those guys who was just destined to stay in places like ECW. Talented enough to have a semi-decent career, but constantly getting in his own way by pissing off the people who would have given him a decent shot. Even without the sappy 'Dean Douglas' gimmick, I doubt he would've lasted in the WWF much longer than he did.
As for today, I'd love to see him come back as a manager or announcer, but not in any in-ring capacity.
