Without him, it's nothing. Yes, you have lots of great talented actors, but at this point in the show's run, taking away the main character who you have built up so much would be pressing the self destruct button. That 70's Show's later seasons is proof of that.

I understand what you are saying, but That 70's Show is horrible proof of that. That show was your traditional sitcom. Scrubs is a bit more sweeping, and ambitious as far as plotting goes. Also, as you said, they lost Kelso and Eric. They were pretty much the JD and Dr. Cox of that show. If Scrubs lost both JD and Dr. Cox,
then it'd be rough to continue.
I'd at least give Scrubs a chance without the Braffster. The JD character is primarily eyes and ears into hospital life. Yeah, the character has its quirks and stuff, but that is more and more becoming integraded into the very attitude of the show. He is awesome, and part of the reason the show is a big success, but I think the supporting cast -- as the players JD reacts to and the players that react to the current narrator of the story -- are actually far more important than the JD character. They
are Sacred Heart. JD is a person walking into Sacred Heart.
Hell, and given how much Zach Braff owes to the show, and how much fun he apparently had making it, I wouldn't put it past him to make two or three appearances a season, like a lot of the other recurring players.
