Jericho himself was just generally awesome during this period. I don't know what it was about him (perhaps knowing that he was possibly the brightest spot on a confused product?), but he just shone in everything he did.

Another moment of WCW Jericho awesomeness: His ring introductions for a Battle Royal, or something, where the winner would face him. I think he did an intro for Chavo something like "from El Paso, Mexico!" I remember a line about Silver King winning a few more matches before being upgraded to Gold King.

Anyway, Dean Malenko won that much under hood, and Jericho freaked the fuck out, and the two had a match there and then. Did I get all that right?
