The UK version wasn't as cheesy and family friendly. I mean, it wasn't X-rated stuff or anything but it had a slightly more "grown up" feel and style to it in my view.
That's why when XL suggested Frankie Boyle, I thought including him would instantly make it more of a post-watershed show than the US version was. Frankie Boyle would be very funny if they went for that style. If they went for the lighter cheery US style, Frankie would have a very hard time on the show. I've never seen him on anything family orientated unless you count Have I Got News For You and I'm sure most of his stuff would have been edited out of that show.
