yeah, if they get A-rod and Ordonez I'd have higher expetations, better fielding, the hitting 2 v. 2 is better, and they upgraded the pitching staff.
That being said, word is, even if they ever get the A-rod deal done, the Ordonez deal is dead, and the sox would be dealing Nomar to the Dodgers for Prospects.
If that's the case, A-rod doesn't = Nomar and Manny.
But with the better pitching staff, and the pitching losses the Yanks have suffered...
I'd still expect more from the Sox this year, although being a few outs away from going to the WS, there isn't much higher you can expect.
