My grandpa had the amazing little black box to de-scramble PPVs. It had a great run from WCW Fall Brawl 1998 (my first PPV) to WWF Judgment Day 2001. The box finally crapped out during the early stages of KOTR 2001.

I didn't really bother trying to listen to the scrambled PPVs because the audio rarely came in. One exception to this was the 2004 Rumble, which was awesome as I could at least hear everyone as they entered.
