Oh, and they were working on TS4 as well at the time.

A member of the Free Radical, now a debunk band of core member (so they still exist in a sense), spoke in detail about the situation with Battlefront 3 and Timesplitters. He says SWB3 was damn well near complete, but Lucas Arts never gave them a deadline. You might think that sort of thing is what devs dream about, but not so. They weren't even allowed
press, presumably to keep (the weaker) Force Unleashed in the spotlight. They were working on Battlefront 3 for over a year. The game code was handed off already, but specific tech (like the in-game orbital transitions) stayed with FR, "for whatever reason..." says the team member. It seems they would have been happy to hand over at the very least. Word is there will be a cutscene in between planetary and orbital travels now (gay). The multiplayer was pretty much running near finished.
And Timesplitters 4 was also far ahead, and he said it was WAY better than the Battlefront 3 game. "Head and shoulders" above what we've seen. That game still has a chance, and a buyer could be swayed by the talent seen in the 'leaked' Battlefront vid (good move, 'Radical).
As for Haze's suckage, he says there were tech issues and pressure from Publisher Ubisoft to make the game a futuristic suckfest (which explains
a lot).
Hope his team the best.
