I say scrap this shit, let JBL job to Taker, and have HBK and Jericho tangle.

I would personally go with HBK/Jericho as well (with HBK going over).
I would have Jericho assault one of the legends on RAW (i.e. Flair or whoever), and then have Shawn Michaels come out to make the save. This then leads to a match.
Here are THREE (3) matches that I do NOT want to see:
-Edge vs. Cena
-HBK vs. Taker
-Jericho defeating Austin or Hogan
Edge vs. Cena serves no purpose since
a) It's already been done a million times
b) Cena going over doesn't do anything for Cena's career
c) Edge going over does nothing since Edge would still be in the same position that he's always been in (i.e. an overglorified transitional world champion that will never be THE #1 guy).
HBK vs. Taker is already a foregone conclusion since Taker's streak will never be ended. HBK jobbing to Taker serves no purpose for the company. HBK is better off either doing a job to an up-and-comer, OR, having a match with another great technical wrestler.....so that we as a fans can see a 5 star match.
Jericho is another guy who will never be the #1 guy in the company....and therefore should not go over a 'legend' like Austin or Hogan. If the WWE goes this route, the 'legend' should win hands down. A Jericho victory would hurt the reputation of the legend (particularly Austin) more than it would help Jericho.
Matches that I would LIKE to see:
-Rock or Austin def Cena (Cena turns heel AFTER the match and gets a return victory one month later)
-CM Punk def. Edge
-Undertaker def. Priceless (Rhodes & Dibiase).
That last match might raise a few eyebrows, but here's my viewpoint:
- Undertaker will win all of his Wrestlemania matches anyways
- Priceless is 'above' the tag team ranks in stature now
- Priceless gets "big match exposure" by being in a high profile match with Taker
- A "2-1" match might lead fans to believe that Taker might lose.
