I saw Watchmen today on IMAX (first time ever seeing an IMAX movie.) here's my thoughts:
*Holy shit are IMAX screens huge. And the sound is amazing. I wish I had seen the second run of the Dark Knight on IMAX, now.
*The trailer for the new Transformers movie is great. Too bad Shia Labouff is still in it.
*Character development was immense, like 'tron said. I was impressed with how and what made these people operate.
*I like Silhouette. Despite having only a small part in the movie, she was my favorite of the Minutemen. Anyone can guess why.
*Rorschach's mask is definitely gonna end up as a tattoo at some point. Probably the most awesome hero ever.
*Dr. Manhattan needs some pants on.
*Silk Spectre II is insanely hot. And yet she falls for the dorkiest guy of the bunch... Oh yeah, this is a comic book cliche more than anything else. Seriously though, she has a killer ass that I wanted to violate. And, kudos to the director for making the sex scene actually have context. 300 had just "What would a free man do," and then sex. I said to myself at the commencing "A FREE MAN WOULD FUCK!"
*It wasn't Saw gory. It was more like 300 gory. Brutal killings and stuff.
* The Comedian would so fuck the Punisher up.
* "Nobody wants a Cowboy in the Oval Office!" was perhaps the most subtle line ever.
*You know, between Watchmen and 300, I think the director is seriously trying to tell us that he's all for meaty cock. I mean, 300 had a bunch of dudes in red capes & speedos. I've watched wrestling for almost 20 years, so It's not the presence of dudes in red capes & speedos. The sheer multitude is what was a little over the top. Then of course, we got Cocktor Manhattan. It's one thing that he's running around butt naked. It's another thing that Rorschach or somebody else didn't just say "Dude, put some pants on." They were perfectly normal with him running around, blue dick flapping in the breeze.
