Plus it was also up against the last 15 minutes of Britain's Got Talent, which peaked at something like 11 million viewers (51% of the audience).

It still got the second highest rating out of anything on "multi-channel TV" i.e. everything not on BBC 1, BBC 2, ITV, Channel 4 or Channel 5. Which sounds pretty respectable to me.
