Here is why Wrestlemania 25 was lackluster in my opinion:

So many of the storylines were just "smushed" together in a matter of weeks.

An absolute joke:

Seriously....

-JBL vs. Rey Mysterio: Almost no build up...complete waste. No history, no real rivalry, etc. Rey Mysterio should have been involved with Mike Knox somehow.

-HBK vs. Taker: Yes - great match...but again...Almost no build up. The match was basically put together just out of convenience. If it was up to me, JBL would have won the match against HBK in January. As of JBL's request, HBK would have been forced to face his buddy HHH at Wrestlemania. THAT match would have had one helluva build up...and would have had the emotion.

-Jericho vs. legends: Given all the hype that went into this, more was expected. How Austin and Hogan didn't come and give Jericho their finishers was beyond me. The Houston crowd would've gone nuts had they seen a stunner.

-HHH vs. Orton: Again - bullshit. Your main-event match needs a WAY longer build-up. Orton vs. Cena should have the main-event. The tension between them had been boiling for months.....and the crowd reaction would have been very interesting. No way Orton should have jobbed. HHH deserved a win at Mania, but it should've been against someone else (i.e. HBK).

-Cena vs. Edge vs. Big Show: Again - bullshit. A match just slapped together within the last month. Very limited recent history, and very limited emotion. In my opinion, this would've been a GOLDEN opportunity for Edge to face CM Punk for the World/WWE title (i.e. revenge on Edge's part to beat CM Punk for 'stealing' the title off of him a year prior....CM Punk wanting Edge to prove that his win wasn't a fluke). This would've been a perfect opportunity to elevate Punk....by having him go over a credible main-eventer.

MITB: Why have CM Punk win it two years in a row? Why not elevated a new star...like MVP? Another waste by the WWE.

Overall - a very stupid PPV by the WWE.
