Agreed, I enjoy having a significant difference between the AL and NL. It puts more of an emphasis on the World Series too. I mean the NBA and NHL, the playoffs just arbitrarily split the league in half.

Also, pitchers bat in every level, so it's not like the National League has some crazy rule that is pulled out of the blue.
