and normally the Jets would require compensation, because they released him based on him retiring, however they wont because then it would count as a trade and then they'd owe the packers a bunch of picks because there was a clause that if he was delt back to the division the Packers got compensation from the Jets.
but yeah, his agent was all over the place after his release that he was never playing again...
god, what are we going to need? this guy to drop dead or be in a wheelchair so we don't go through this every single offseason? (no, i'm not wishing either on him!)
