That's true. A potential clinching game is always bound for more excitement, even from just casual fans. Whereas the NBA is just a game 3, where the next game will happen regardless.
I don't necessarily think it will be even, but it will be a closer split than what I originally said, undoubtedly. I suspect a lot of people will simply flick back and forth between the two.

I won't watch the NBA, which I know, being from Lansing, MI, and having gone to the very H.S. here in town where Magic played before moving on to MSU and later the Lakers, is practically sacrilege, but I just don't care for the team he played for or the one he founded. (L.A. or Orlando)...
